Heather McPherson, LCPC, CCTP-II

Therapist

If you are struggling to communicate, feel deeply, or simply need a trusted individual to listen, I’m here to help.

Heather’s expertise is in work with adults and adolescents, though she welcomes works with individuals across the life span. Heather has specialized training in working with folks who are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and neurodivergence.

Heather strives to support personal growth through a holistic approach of promoting harmony of the mind, body, and spirit. Heather’s work is grounded in the belief that each individual is the expert on their own experiences. She uplifts her clients through the use of expressive therapies (movement, art, nature, music and play), while also integrating DBT, ACT, and mindfulness practices.

In session, Heather exudes a calming, approachable, and accepting presence. She prioritizes providing a safe space for recognition, acceptance and growth. While Heather acknowledges that life can be complex and challenging, she encourages individuals to stay grounded in radical acceptance and find gratitude for the positives in life. She believes that life is all about balance – there is no light without shadow.

Heather is a certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level ll) with extensive experience across a variety of clinical settings. She sees it as her calling to support others while they are on their own unique path toward personal growth.
