Bessma Haider, LSW
Therapist
I believe that connection, safety, and nonjudgmental support are central to the healing process. When people feel genuinely seen and understood, it can open the door to deeper self-exploration and meaningful, lasting change.
Bessma works with individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, and questions around identity, culture, and belonging. She views therapy as a space to slow down, turn inward, and make sense of experiences that can feel overwhelming or difficult to put into words. She offers a steady, supportive presence while helping clients move toward changes that feel both significant and sustainable.
In her work, Bessma focuses on building a warm, collaborative relationship and meeting clients where they are. She practices from a trauma-informed lens and has experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as those navigating grief and parenting-related challenges.
Bessma draws from a person-centered foundation while incorporating elements of psychodynamic therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She brings a culturally responsive approach and strives to create a space that is respectful, affirming, and open, where clients can show up fully as themselves.
